The FAST II headset is popular
for both tactical-SWAT and surveillance applications.
- The receive signal
is funneled through a curley tube to a non occluding earmold for left
or right ear. This earmold which is available in 4 sizes, allows you
to monitor radio traffic covertly without obstructing your peripheral
hearing
- A chest mounted
whisper microphone is normally located under user’s chin
- When gas is deployed,
the mic plugs into a mic receptor located in the voice emitter of you
gas mask. This provides for optimum intelligibility from inside a gas
mask
- Our press to talk
switch D consists of a 2 inch round box which is clipped to user’s
chest. The D switch has front surface action – touch it with anything
to key the radio. A protective donut fits over the switch to prevent
accidental keying. A socket in the side of the D switch accommodates
the redundant, fingertip Sniper’s press to talk switch.
- The FAST headset
can be supplied to interface with most civil and military radios
If
your top criteria for tactical-swat headsets are comfort, versatility,
intelligibility and low cost, you are a prospect for the FAST II
Tactical headset. Unlike similar products you may have seen around,
the FAST II is built from ‘industrial
strength’ components that will withstand the typical abuse from
Special Forces and SWAT users. Most tactical vests have cable channels
which accommodate the FAST II wires – so it’s easier to get
dressed. The receive signal coiley tube fits under active hearing protectors
without degrading the receive signal volume
