The
SLIMGUARD 1 Boat Crew Headset

The
headset consists of two low profile earshells, connected by a spring
neckband and a soft headstrap for optimum passive noise protection.
They are also contoured to provide maximum protection but to fit under
a range of standard infantry helmets including the US Army PASGT.Foam
cushions ensure a good acoustic seal to the head and a high degree of
comfort, allowing the headset to be worn for long periods.
To
facilitate oral communication with other boat crew members, the right
earshell has holes so user can hear without removing the headset - a
stopper is supplied to restore attenuation. The spring neckband holds
the earshells securely over the ears providing a good acoustic seal
even under the severe vibration. The close talking dynamic mic is less
effected with high wind and motor noises frequently encountered on small
boat operating at high speed.
Lower
cordset adapters can be supplied to interface to Grumman intercom, manpack
and commercial radios.
New - Submersible
Speaker/Mic or Fist Mic with patented low wind noise design - designed
to transmit clear speech while traveling at high speed on a RHIB. The
speaker will be heard and understood when used in high winds on the outside
control position of a rescue boat. “Wiring” wind noise from
the mic is greatly reduced because of patented mic cover.
- Fits
under most helmets
- Submersible
to 3 feet
